Church is not and has never been about simply coming and being fed ourselves!

Life within the church is about being poured into by the Spirit in order to pour out of our selves to make Christ known.
It is about worshipping through song, praise, preaching of the Word, discipling, the Sacraments, obedience, faithful excellence and of giving of our gifts and talents to encourage, build and love one another.

In other words, to "serve" is to be obedient to Christ's love for us and call for us to love one another as we have been loved!

"Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.  Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies - in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.
To Him belong glory and dominion forever and ever.  Amen."

(1 Peter 4:8-11)

You do not have to be perfect to serve.  Nor do you have to be a certain age, maturity level or have an acceptable amount of recognition.  God desires a faithful, teachable and humble heart above all things!  Even if you're unsure and uncertain of what you can give or offer, sign up!  God has done and will do great things even in the brokenness and lacking of our hearts and lives!
Remember, it's not about perfection, but faithfulness!

The commitment is to serve for one year, through summer of 2017.
Looking forward to serving and growing together after Him!
Keep an eye out for more information and meeting times soon!
